Özgörkey Gıda has activities in the agricultural sector in parallel with food. Established in 2003 in order to carry out research and development works in the fields of seed growing and agriculture, Öztar Tohumculuk is active in 1500 m2 greenhouse and research laboratories established in İzmir Torbalı Facilities. The company has a special research certificate given by Ministry of Agriculture.

Öztar develops various projects together with Ege University and agricultural research institutions within the scope of potato seed research and development. Our expert agricultural engineer and technician team carries out works both in the laboratory environment and in the field and conducts Eurepgap and GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) projects. A fully equipped greenhouse and laboratories in Torbalı facility are the main working area for ÖZTAR team.

Özgörkey Gıda stores its raw material in atmosphere controlled conditions. The computer controlled high technology potato raw material storage has a capacity of 30.000 tons. High quality products are produced from these high quality raw materials. Our new potato seed storage facility established in Konya Region has a capacity of 8.000 tons.

Özgörkey Gıda is changing agricultural practices in Turkey:

• Pea harvesting equipment, spinach, green bean and corn harvesting machines have been used for the first time in agriculture in Turkey.
• In terms of our natural resources, it has been cooperated with farmers to install drop irrigation systems in all fields.
